Route 2 to Leavenworth Via Mt Baker

Today started like the past three days. Starbucks and a Venti Dark Roast. I came back and my Mother and I decided to drive to Leavenworth. My Aunt told us about it. It is a little a little Bavarian Village in between the mountains along Route 2. It took us about two hours to get there but it is beautiful. The drive through Mt Baker and over Steven's Pass was amazing. All of the trees have turned their fall colors. (except of course the Evergreen, it is the Evergreen State). So you would go to the top of the mountain and you could see mostly green with patches of bright orange, reds and yellows. There was creek that ran along side the road. We stopped a lot to take pictures, it was just unbelievable. I will post them as soon as I get home.
We arrived in Leavenworth. It is just past Steven's Pass, a big ski resort and right before Wenatchee. The town is cool. Everything has been remodeled to look like Bavaria surrounded by the Alpine Hills. Even the Starbucks had the look and feel of a Bavarian village. The food was incredible. I had a Reuben and German Potato Salad. We had pastries at the pastry shop. There were a ton of little shops. Homemade Candy, soaps, jewelry, cloths, bags, hats, YOU NAME IT! We spent hours there.

We drove back and hit a consignment shop in Monroe. They had nice stuff. Then had a nice Italian dinner. We are now home and exhausted. Tomorrow we leave for Edmunds, and more shopping. We have our eyes on a couple thrift stores in the general Seattle area. By the way...for those who are concerned: Dave Matthews lives right in Seattle in Wallingford. May check it out, I will try not to get arrested.
Check back in tommorrow.

Comments:
Have a Watchtower and an Awake so you can knock on his door. I miss you! IT sounds so nice compared to my experinces.

Arrested? What's that? You could MEET Dave! What's a blemish on your permanent record?
