Pike's Public Market
Last night my family had a little reunion for us here in Seattle. I got to see a lot of people. Some I had met before, some I had not. It was nice.
This morning started like yesterday, I woke up at 5am got ready and headed to Starbucks for something to do while everyone else sleeps, I like to think of it as Jenn Time! I should not be allowed around people I barely know unless I have had my morning fixes. Well, I was sitting in my car unwrapping a CD I bought there (D&T LIVE Radio City Music Hall), and someone backed right into me. No damage, but it was a bit unnerving that early in the morning.
After that My Mother and I headed to downtown Seattle. I took a ton of pictures, but brought the wrong USB to transfer them to my computer so we will have to wait til I get home. We hit Pike's Market where they throw the fish around. The fish just lie on top of ice, heads on, staring at you while you walk by. It has a bit of an odor, not pleasant. But if you can get past that, it is very cool. The flowers they sold there were amazing. I took some pics, they were selling bouquets for $5 - $15, that Krogers would charge $40-$50 for, that is, if they could get them.

We walked down to the waterfront for lunch. There are so many good options for eating. We settled at The Crab Pot, it came highly recommended. Some salmon, crabs, and a bottle of wine later we were ready to shop. It is amazing how much more fun you have after a bottle of wine, My mother even agreed.

We had a blast, the day went really quick. We had to be back to Monroe this evening so we left around 5:30 or so. Seattle is easy to get around, just a lot of traffic.

So we are back in Monroe and ready to go out to eat. I am tired from today. We must have walked three miles, with one of them being the steps down to the waterfront. I highly recommend it to anyone who comes here. It is beautiful, with the ferry's coming in and out of the sound. Plus today was an unusually SUNNY Seattle day so it was extra pleasant FOR US!
