Just Sharing

Today is my last day in retail. I have very mixed emotions. I have spent 14 years doing what I am good at. Throughout the past 14 years I have had many roles and worked in many different locations throughout the Ohio Valley and Pittsburgh. I have been fortunate to work for some brilliant people and learn from their actions and coaching.
With that said, I have also had the opportunity to work for someone that can always be used as a bad example, (so nonetheless a learning experience of what not to do).
I leave behind a lot of friends that I am used to being in contact with all the time. Some I consider very close friends, so I am sure I will keep in contact with them. That is the bittersweet part.
I also leave behind my safety net of always knowing what the heck I am doing! Now I am about to venture into uncharted waters. I am a bit nervous but mostly excited. I am blessed to have such a big opportunity ahead. I plan on being the best at my new role and I look forward to learning everything about it.
I had someone try to make me feel bad today, made some comments to other employees. It's OK I am used to it. Did you ever have someone that you know hates you but you can't figure out why? I wish no harm, only to move on and leave the negative behind.
I have so many other thoughts but they are a bit random and I can't put them into sense right now. This weekend is for celebrating.....
I am celebrating my promotion, my freedom, and what I plan to be my future success! Tonight New American Groove....Tomorrow Trainjumpers! Anyone care to join?

Yes! I am so excited to start a brand new chapter in my career. It is very re energizing. I accepted this morning. I am jumping right into it. For the next two weeks I will be doing both jobs until I am fully released to the call center. In other news, my sister, Anne and Abby met Barrack Obama today! Check out Amanda's blog for the pics and details. I was a little upset I couldn't go but I did just get a nice promotion, so it was ok.

In other news.... Carm and Cassidy came to stay with me last week. It was fun, of course, it is always a pleasure to be with them. Here are some pics..

Joscelynne and Cassidy threw a birthday party for Slippers! The whole nine yards. Invites, a butterfly theme, a game, which was quite entertaining, candy bags, and YES a cake!

and last but not least....I redid my bedroom. I need some help here. I am not really digging the comforter set I bought. Not sure if it looks right. So please, you will not hurt my feelings, if you have any suggestions or ideas tell me.
