What Fun....
Last night was really fun. I had a blast. Heather and I didn't get our reservations at the place we wanted so we headed to the Alpha. We ended up meeting other people there, and it was a blast. Took a lot of pictures, but again haven't figured the new process out. When i do I will probably post 20 in a row.
Today at work was non stop. We are going to this expo and I had to run around all day and get things in order. It is all weekend long so I have to work the weekend, but it is fun. You get to see a lot of people.
I got kind of sad because last year during the expo I had him visiting, and I took his daughter to work the expo with me. She was awesome, handing out flyers and bags to everyone. It made the day fun and time go by quickly. No worries, I was only sad for a second.

Well not exactly my favorite day of the year. My Friend Carmela use to call it Black Wednesday (or whatever day it fell on). I always thought that was funny. I don't eat chocolate so I never really saw the need to buy people candy. I like presents though...hint hint. Just kidding. I like homemade presents, because they take time and thought, which people rarely put into gift giving these days. Anyways, I have a date, Heather. We are going for wine and dinner and wine. Did I say wine? Yeah we will probably have some wine with dinner. Should be fun, haven't seen her in over a week or so. Well have a good Valentine's Day and do something nice for someone, just for the heck of it.

Monday Monday!
So I got up early and went to work, only to find out I didn't have to work today. I stuck around for a bit and left. There is a plus and a minus, going into work and finding out you do not have to be there is rough. However, thinking you have to work all day and realizing you can go home is rewarding as well. I have a bit of a cold so I didn't do much. Hung out on myspace and played a lot of web boggle. These people and these words kill me. Not too much exciting to chat about so that's it for now.

It's been a while...
I was in pittsburgh all week for training. It was really good. Usually training is just a week of sitting there bored out of your mind. It wasn't like that. I met some really great people from all over Texas, Arkansas, Michigan. I also learned a couple things that I think apply to personal life as well as professional.
3 to 1 rule. This one is my favorite. Three positives for every one negative. I know it sounds cheesy, but try it. It works. If you are sad, think about three things that make you happy and then allow yourself to think about the one thing that makes you sad. All of a sudden the sad part isn't such a big deal. If you are angry at someone, think of three reasons you like them, then think about the one reason you are angry. See not such a big deal after all. (Depends on the person, if the one thing is bigger than the other three, consult my sister for advice on toxic people and how to remove them from your life.)
The hard part of course is applying this. It takes a personal effort to make it work. I am going to try my best to use it as much as possible. It is amazing how much better you feel when you concentrate on the positives instead of the negatives. This world is way to negative, it is refreshing. Ok, enough sharing...I am going shopping.

A very nice Saturday

So Sweet P and her parents came over today. I cleaned before hand, I am not a parent so I am super freaked out about baby stuff. Last thing I want is my sister not coming back with that sweet thing. Anyways, she is great.
Today we learned about stairs. My sister's house doesn't have steps on the first floor. Mine does, and the kitties tend to run upstairs once Sweet Little P chases them. So quickly she learned how to climb stairs. At first it was one at a time and she wouldn't go past two. All of sudden she hit the first landing (three steps) and we all cheered. Next thing you know she was step over step all the way to the top. Trust me, there is nothing keeping her from those kitties. She does this little mix of laugh/growl/scream when she is near them. I held them so she could pet them, she is so sweet and precious. She wanted to love and kiss them (Thank goodness they are declawed).
I am trying to get my pics uploaded but I have all the software on my laptop and I have yet to get it to my new computer. I took some great ones of her opening her presents.

Happy Birthday Sweet Pea

I took this pic from my sister's blog since I didn't make it....She is a smart little cookie! She knows that she is one year old.
I am really upset. I missed her first birthday party. Long story, but basically work made me go to this meeting that was supposed to only be an hour. Everyone was late, and it ended up lasting till almost six. Then I had to drive home in the snow and rush hour traffic of Route 19 in Pittsburgh and just got home.
I wanted to see her eat her cake. Anyways, I am just bummed and upset. I know my sister will take pictures. I will post some tomorrow if I get to see her and give her the presents. She loves pictures, and she is cute everyday of the year.
Happy Birthday My Sweet P!
